Illness and First Aid at school

Any adult caring for your child is expected to act in a reasonable, responsible manner to ensure that your child is safe. Most staff at school have had First Aid training and in the use of Epi pens.

First aid materials are kept centrally and a record is kept of any minor cuts and grazes.  On occasions, we may need to contact you if we feel your child needs to go home before the end of the day.

If your child is taken ill during the day, we will care for them until you are able to collect them.

If we feel that they need to go to hospital, we will contact you to take them to hospital or arrange to meet you there.
