Photography Competition

At West Wycombe we have wonderful junior photographers who know how important a picture can be. A picture says a thousand words and, in this case, it tells us a thousand words about nature in our local area.

Two members of our Newspaper Club, Jaya and Izzy, set up their own photography competition. All of the teachers were impressed with their maturity when they collected the entries, chose the winners and presented the winners to the whole school using their own PowerPoint.

Our school works hard to provide all children with a chance to show off their wonderful talents and photography offers a range of exciting and valuable learning experiences. May this be the first of many photography competitions.

This week will always be remembered as the week we conquered the media! Litter Pick!

We want to get out and help out our community more at West Wycombe School. It's important for us to teach our children the value of community and the importance of doing our best to help the environment we live in.

With this in mind, we are launching a termly Litter Pick to make our beautiful surroundings even more beautiful. The council are sending us Litter Pickers and everything else we'll need, but we need your help!

If you and your child(ren) can help out out, please meet us in the Car Park of St Lawrence Church on Sunday 20th June at 11.30 am. We'll pick some litter then have a picnic on the hill!

So we can gauge numbers, if you are planning on joining us, can you register on Arbor? Mrs Roberts has set it up as a trip.

We hope to see you there. Litter- be ready... we are coming for you!
