Little Flyers- After School Club at West Wycombe!

We are so excited to introduce a new club- Little Flyers! This club will run from 3.15- 6pm, and will be based at our school!

Little Flyers is an exciting After School Club that offers a range of exciting activities and a hot snack.

We are trialling this after Half Term. We need your help in making it work- see the flyer for details on how to book.

Teacher Clubs at West Wycombe School

We are excited to trial more After School Clubs, now run by our amazing teachers! The plan is to trial these Clubs from next week until Half Term, where we will review and hopefully increase our offer.

We’re raising money for a school oven (which would revolutionise our cooking and growing at West Wycombe!). We are asking for an optional fee of £2 per club per session, with the exception of the lunch time club and the Yoga Club (payment goes directly to the external teacher, Mrs Ellis).

The children can apply to the following Clubs:

- KS2 Choir- Tuesday, 3.15- 4.15, Years 3, 4, 5 and 6

Mrs Rowley will be starting our school choir again on Tuesday afternoons. It is a very exciting term to be in choir this summer term as we have signed up for the Echoes concert at the Royal Albert Hall in July. We will be rehearsing songs from Matilda the Musical to sing at the concert and will join with schools from across Bucks for the performance on 12th July. The choir will run from 3.15 until 4.30 every Tuesday and is open to children in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible

- Newspaper Club- Thursday, 3.15- 4.15, Years 4, 5 and 6

West Wycombe Newspaper Club is run by Mr St Croix on a Thursday afternoon. The children who attend work on interesting articles that are then published electronically in the West Wycombe Times. This can be accessed on our school website and on our whole school ClassDojo page. Our children’s writing will be seen by the whole of community. All the children work together to contribute to all sections within our newspaper. We have a section for school news, recent events, sporting news, class teacher interviews and a jokes page. Visit our school website and our ClassDojo page so you can open the West Wycombe Times and “READ ALL ABOUT IT!”

- EYFS/ KS1 Choir- Thursdays, 12.30- 1.00, Reception, Years 1 and 2

Mrs Rowley will be running a singing club for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. This will be on Thursdays at 12.30pm. We will sing a range of fun songs and will work towards a performance for the school and parents at the end of the summer term. I look forward to seeing lots of you come along to join in the singing fun!

- Film Club- Fridays, 3.15- 4.15, All years

What better way to relax after a long week than to watch a movie with friends? Mr Tang will provide snacks for a different year group each week. We’ll watch a different film each week- hope to see you there!

Booking:

Registers are set for the Half Term, so bookings are from the week commencing Monday 3rd May to week commencing Monday 24th May (the Friday of that week is an INSET Day- Film Club will be on the Thursday of that week instead).

Each Club will run for 4 sessions before Half Term.

To book your child on any of these clubs, please follow the directions the Office email out.

The clubs have a maximum capacity so it will be a case of first come first served- you can book from 5pm this evening.

Over time, the £2 optional donations (per club per session) will go a very long way to raising money for a much needed oven- thank you for your support!
