School Trips

All teachers are encouraged to arrange educational visits and trips throughout the year. Past visits have been made to the Maidenhead Synagogue, Oxford Museum of Natural History, Hazard Alley, Hughenden Manor, Wycombe Museum, the Hindu Temple at Neasden, Roald Dahl Museum, Odds Farm, RAF High Wycombe, Tiggywinkles and Butterfly World.

During the autumn term of their final year in school a residential trip to a PGL centre is arranged for the Year 6 children. Here the children participate in activities such as raft building, high ropes, abseiling, orienteering, Jacob's ladder and team building skills.

From time to time teachers may arrange for visitors to come into school to enhance the childrens' learning. Past visits have included a Victorian and Tudor Day workshop, a Roman Day, a science workshop, Red Kite workshop, a chocolate day, the NHS Oral Health advisor, talks from the Fire, Ambulance and Police services, a visit from a circus workshop and the Chiltern Conservation Society.

Payment for School Trips

You will be asked to pay a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the activity which can be made via Arbor. On residential visits, a charge can be made for board and lodging. The contribution will cover transport costs, entrance fees etc.

If you are unable or unwilling to make a contribution, please contact the Headteacher.

On rare occasions, an activity may have to be cancelled if contributions are insufficient to meet the cost.
