Social, Emotional and Mental Health
As of September 2021, we will be offering Emotional Literacy Support (ELSA) for those children identified with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Children learn better when their emotional needs are met and there will always be children whose ability to learn is adversely affected by emotional and psychological difficulties. If we give them the chance to think about these difficulties within a supportive and safe environment, we can help them become more resilient in the face of adversity. As they feel better able to recognise and manage their feelings, they will engage more readily with their learning.
